Wolverhampton Wanderers made it three wins in a week as they demolished Everton to complete what has been a magnificent run of form over the festive period.
Gary O’Neil’s side put on one of the most complete displays that Molineux has seen in quite sometime, with the visitors fortunate that it was only three.
Jose Sa
You could have had Father Christmas in goal and Wolves would still have had a clean sheet and that’s credit to those in front of the Portuguese international stopper whose efforts made sure Everton didn’t have a single shot on target. As easy an afternoon as a Premier League goalkeeper could wish for. 7/10
Max Kilman
For someone of Max’s size he probably should be causing more damage when in the opponents penalty area, so it was great to see him back on the scoresheet after Dawson had his effort saved. Made easy work of the visitors and was involved in lots of the good football Wolves played. 8.5/10
Craig Dawson
Dominic Calvert-Lewin can bully the best of centre backs on his day, but the former West Ham defender had other ideas and restricted the big centre forwards influence throughout, so much so he was subbed late on. Unlucky not to have two goals, but guided home a fine Matheus Cunha ball that was accurately fizzed into the box. 8.5/10
Toti Gomes
Like the other two Wolves centre backs, he comfortably nullified the Everton threat and was hardly troubled all afternoon. Despite Everton’s attempted pressing, he more often than not successfully and confidently played out from the back where he linked with Air-Nouri very well. 8/10
Nelson Semedo
Took a little longer to get up to speed than his teammates, but after he did it was an excellent afternoon for the wingback who like Ait-Nouri has put in three huge shifts in this week, in what are probably the most demanding positions in this Wolves set up. 8/10
Rayan AIt-Nouri
The highly talented wingback was clearly disappointed at coming off, but sometimes players need protecting against the enthusiasm they have, especially after so many games in a short period, even more after just coming back from an injury. A joy to watch and a nightmare to play against. 8/10
Joao Gomes
The Brazilian Duracell bunny put in another super human shift and also played his part with the ball as Wolves outclassed Everton throughout the afternoon. If his late effort had gone in it would have been an incredible team goal. Managed to sneak in some Jiu Jitsu for extra reassurance that he’s not one to be messed with. 8/10
Tommy Doyle
His best game in a Wolves shirt and one of the best players on the pitch. Kept the ball moving quickly with a varied range of crisp accurate distribution and was up for a battle from the off. In Lemina’s understandable absence, he stepped in and delivered a tremendous performance. 9/10
Pablo Sarabia
One of the most naturally gifted players at the club and benefitting from a run in the team. Involved in some of Wolves slick football and fed Hwang in with a lovely weighted pass before he squared for Cunha’s goal. 8/10
Matheus Cunha
Involved in all of Wolves goals, a great ball across the face of goal that eventually led to the first, a far post finish for the second and a lovely ball to assist Dawson for the third. The usual hard work, but also had a part in multiple attacks. Eleven goal involvements in twenty games and consistently playing well, a classy footballer who is now justifying his fee. 9/10
Hwang Hee Chan
A nightmare for the three Everton centre backs all afternoon with runs in behind and with the ball at his feet. Probably should have had at least the goal himself, but had a positive impact throughout and provided a nice assist for Cunha. 8/10
